Layer’s of the Earth’s atmosphere

The Earth's atmosphere consists of five main layers, each with distinct properties. The troposphere, the lowest layer, contains most of the atmosphere's mass and is where weather occurs. Above it, the stratosphere holds the ozone layer, which absorbs UV radiation and warms the air. The mesosphere is where most meteors burn up, and temperatures drop with altitude. The thermosphere absorbs solar radiation, causing temperatures to rise sharply, and the outermost exosphere contains very sparse particles and transitions into space.
